An XML-Based Framework for Loosely Coupled Applications on Grid Environments

چکیده
This paper focuses on an XML-based framework for the description of grid environments and complex grid applications. A so-called Grid Job Handler is used to manage these applications. The GJobDL as part of this framework employs the Petri net concept to define both the workflow and the dataflow of the grid applications. The Grid Job Handler uses these XML representations to control grid applications via the Java Commodity Grid Kit, which interfaces to Globus.

MSF: A Workflow Service Infrastructure for Computational Grid Environments
Globus has become a standard in the construction of Grid computing environments. However, it still needs more work and research to satisfy requirements from various grid applications such as workflow services. We propose a Meta Scheduling Framework (MSF) for workflow service management based on the Globus toolkit. The MSF provides an XML-based Job Control Markup Language (JCML) for describing i...
متن کاملWeighted-HR: An Improved Hierarchical Grid Resource Discovery
Grid computing environments include heterogeneous resources shared by a large number of computers to handle the data and process intensive applications. In these environments, the required resources must be accessible for Grid applications on demand, which makes the resource discovery as a critical service. In recent years, various techniques are proposed to index and discover the Grid resource...
متن کاملInvestigation on Reliability Estimation of Loosely Coupled Software as a Service Execution Using Clustered and Non-Clustered Web Server
Evaluating the reliability of loosely coupled Software as a Service through the paradigm of a cluster-based and non-cluster-based web server is considered to be an important attribute for the service delivery and execution. We proposed a novel method for measuring the reliability of Software as a Service execution through load testing. The fault count of the model against the stresses of users ...
متن کاملWeb Service (WS) for the non-Techies: Principles and Applications
Web services (WS) is emerging as the technology for integrating loosely couples applications employing three main protocols: WSDL (describing the WS), UDDI (publishing the WS), and SOAP (accessing the WS) using XML. WS could also be composed together to meet certain business requirements. Strategies for implementing WS include open source, such as XML and Java and product-based, such as Microso...
متن کاملStrongly typed, compile-time safe and loosely coupled data persistence
A large number of approaches have been developed to simplify construction of, and to reduce errors in, data-driven applications. However, these approaches have not been particularly concerned with compile-time type safety. Type mismatch errors between program and the database schema occur quite often during program development, and the techniques used in these approaches often defer error check...
